Demand Side Management and energy efficiency

M-Tech has a well established track record in providing Demand Side Management (DSM) and Energy Efficiency (EE) technology solutions directly to clients, as well as for Eskom’s DSM and EE campaigns.  M-Tech has designed, installed and commissioned numerous water heating heat pumps for commercial buildings.  We have also designed, supplied and installed other water heating and pump scheduling technology solutions in cooperation with our partner Energy Services Companies such as IST Otokon. 

Projects include:

• In-line water heating systems for mine residences at AngloGold Ashanti’s Vaal River Operations and West Wits mines.
• In‑line and stratified in‑tank heating systems for mine residences at Goldfields Driefontein, Goldfields Kloof, Lonmin Platinum, Harmony Elandsrand and Harmony Welkom mines.
• Heat pump installation at the GSL correctional services facility for sanitary water heating facilities.
• Heat pump water heating installations for various City Lodge hotels as well as other privately owned hotels.
• Underground pump scheduling for DSM at Gold Fields Driefontein and DRD Blyvooruitzicht mine shafts.
