- Engineer-in-training at ESKOM’s Lethabo power station in South Africa between 1998 and 1999.
- Turbine plant system engineer, responsible for power plant maintenance and project management between 1999 and 2000.
- Joined M-Tech Industrial in 2000 as thermal-fluid software developer responsible for the design and development of Flownex, a thermal-fluid software tool used for the design and analysis of system CFD problems.
- Product Development Manager responsible for the design, development and maintenance of Flownex the thermal fluid simulation engine of the Industrial plant simulator platform (IPS) between 2001 and 2005.
- Simulation technology Divisional Manager responsible for the business development of Flownex, the Industrial plant simulator as well as the establishment of a consultation group that uses computer aided design tools to provide total customer solutions in the thermal fluid engineering field.
- Was part of the team responsible for the development of an advanced nuclear reactor model for the thermal fluid systems CFD tool Flownex.
- Led the team that successfully obtained government funding from the Innovation fund for the development of an Industrial Plant Simulator platform (IPS). The project is one of the largest awarded to a commercial company by the Innovation Fund.
- Published five conference papers and two articles in scientific journals and presented papers at two international conferences on the subject of thermal fluid system simulation, design and optimisation, as well as on the design and development of thermal fluid system CFD software.
