Suzette Richards - SHREQ Manager (SHREQM)

The SHREQM reports to the CEO and has overall responsibility for all the Health and Safety, Risk, Environment and Quality assurance tasks and systems as well as management of the SHREQ department. The SHREQM’s responsibilities are:

Quality Assurance and Control

  • Develop and implement a quality assurance policy framework and promote quality achievements and performance.
  • Development, maintenance, improvement and refinement of the appropriate Quality Management System (QMS) throughout the company.
  • Development, maintenance, improvement and refinement of an effective Configuration Management System (CMS) throughout the company.
  • Conduct supplier quality evaluations.
  • Direct and oversee appropriate safe storage of documentation and data.
  • Plan and execute internal and external quality audits.
    Risk
  • Identify company wide risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identifying and arranging appropriate employee and contractor insurance.
    Health and Safety
  • Develop and implement a health and safety policy framework and promote a safety culture.
  • Development, maintenance, improvement and refinement of a Safety Management System (SMS) that will ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, including all required legal appointments.
  • Facilitate HAZOP and risk assessment studies.
  • Plan and execute internal and external health and safety audits.

Environmental

  • Develop and maintain an environmental policy framework and promote an environmentally responsible culture.
  • Plan and execute internal and external environmental audits.

General

  • Arrange and direct SHREQ management reviews.
  • Perform project/product specific SHREQ tasks as required by PMs.
  • Plan and provide effective SHREQ training to all employees and contractors.
  • Managing and leading all SHREQ department personnel.
  • Managing the SHREQ sundries and external audit expenses budget.
