Hantie Vrey - Financial Manager (FM)

The FM reports to the CFO and is responsible for all financial and management accounting tasks and systems as well as overall management of the financial department. The FM’s responsibilities are:

  • Financial systems and process definition and implementation in accordance with the financial policy framework.
  • Preparation of all financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders and tax returns.
  • Preparing the company budget and tracking overhead expenses.
  • Cash flow management and forecasting.
  • Arranging and tracking all foreign currency and forward cover transactions.
  • Payment of VAT and other taxes and statutory expenses.
  • Paying all salaries and fees personnel and contractors.
  • Tracking and settling accounts with creditors.
  • Tracking and resolving payment of invoices by debtors.
  • Asset management including tracking of capital expenditure and arranging appropriate insurance.
  • Inventory management including directing all store tasks and personnel.
  • Managing and leading all financial department personnel.
  • Liaison with the company auditors and arranging and facilitating all internal and external audits.
  • Managing the financial expenses budget including accounting and audit fees, bank and finance charges.
